Christmas is my favourite time of year - the snow, the cold, the holiday music, the constant smell of pine trees, the twinkling lights on every street corner - everything makes me happy. I hope everyone is safe and warm, tucked into bed, with lots of treats waiting under their tree.

Can't Stop Listening To

I first heard the song Body of Years at the beginning of the summer and since then I've been obsessed with Mother Mother. They have such a unique sound which is kind of a nice change from the usual Britney's and Pit Bull's. These are a couple favourites:



I went to see them a few weeks ago and they are amazing live. Snapped a few pictures but most of them are bad quality - this one turned out okay. Love his vest!

Most Wanted: Footwear

It's definitely safe to say I have an addiction to shoes. As I sit here pretending to study for my finals, my mind is wandering to the fab new footwear I saw on Sole Struck, F21 and Urban Outfitters. Thank goodness Christmas is just around the corner. Maybe I can relieve some of the stress I've been feeling by purchasing some new kicks!

I'm also obsessed with the new YSL-esque pair I got in the mail this week! I'm not afraid to admit I've been wearing them around the house and will continue to do so until I can debut them properly. Pictures to follow shortly.

Christmas is well on its way and I haven't even thought about what I am going to buy everyone on my list. Despite the fact that she is on an overly ridiculous television show, I love everything about socialite Olivia Palermo's style.

She always manages to stay on-trend while adding a little bit of her own flair to an outfit. While some have placed her on Worst-dressed pages, I applaud her for the fashion risks she takes.

I have a girl-crush on Lady Gaga. I picked up her new album and love it just as much as the Fame. It is getting me through studying all day long! She came to a bar in my city a couple of months ago and it was by far one of the craziest/coolest experiences of my life. Here are some of the pictures I snapped.

Made For Walking

So I finnnnnnally caved and ordered these babies from Bebe. I've lusted after the real version of them for a long time (as you can tell from livesinheels' heading) but unfortunately their price has stopped them from becoming part of my life. I think this version by Bebe is pretty damn close and will tide me over until I can dish out the cash for the real ones!



Prepare to see me in outfits mirroring those of the Olsen twins, and should I win the lottery, Kate Moss' Balmain dress!

In Marie Claire's December issue they featured 15 "heroes by design". I thought it was a great way to showcase some of today's most exciting and talented designers whether they are new to the scene, or old-time classics. Here are a couple of my favourite shots.

DVF is so amazing. Still is and always will be one of my greatest inspirations.

I literally love every aspect of this look. Burberry has been around forever and I love that they included their timeless trench alongside one of Fall's hottest trends: socks with sandals.

James Ferragamo at Salvatore Ferragamo
Here is a great example of the effortless look we all strive to achieve. LBD, sexy heels, refined ponytail and an eye-popping IT-bag. Not to mention the ultimate accessory: the cute guy standing beside her!

Most Wanted

I was in New York City back in October and I FINALLY got to go to Top Shop. I have only one thing to say... this store is everything that it is said to be and more. Three floors of heaven and the BIGGEST sale section ever which is all it takes to become my new best friend. The Christopher Kane collection was amazing! Too bad the shoes were already sold out.

I also found this jacket, which is probably one of the coolest jackets I've ever seen and is made entirely of beads. When I went to try it on, I was entirely shocked to find out it weighs about 15 pounds.

My Choos!

So after waiting in line for almost 6 and 1/2 hours I finally got my hands on my Choos! Definitely well worth the wait. My sister and I literally did not sleep the night before - I think it was the excitement. Needless to say, Saturday was a looong day. I'm still playing catch up on my sleep. I'll post some better pictures when I have a few minutes to do something other than school work.

The Mean Reds

You know those days when you get the mean reds?
The mean reds. You mean like the blues?
No. The blues are because you're getting fat, and maybe it's been raining too long. You're just sad, that's all. The mean reds are horrible. Suddenly you're afraid, and you don't know what you're afraid of. Do you ever get that feeling?
Sure.
When I get it the only thing that does any good is to jump into a cab and go to Tiffany's. Calms me down right away. If I could find a real life place to make me feel like Tiffany's, then I'd buy some furniture and give the cat a name!
It feels like this is the longest week of my life. So much to do, so very little time. Definitely have a bad case of the mean, mean reds. Others might call it procrastination.

Eyes on Fire

I came across these photographs of Daria Werbowy, one of my favourite models ever. I have the biggest girl crush on her. I mean, really - can you get any more gorgeous than this? Her eyes are a piercing shade of blue, and combined with the electric purple eyeshadow she literally takes your breath away.
