I plan on going to see the new Harry Potter movie tonight and I'm soo excited!! This is where my inner-nerd starts to come out. Hope everyone has a lovely weekend - try to stay warm!
Quick sneak peek at some of the goodies I picked up from the Lanvin for H&M collaboration. My sisters and I waited in line for 10 hours on Friday night in the freezing cold! It was all worth it though - I ended up spending way too much and am in LOVE with my purchases. I'm especially obsessed with the plum coloured lipstick! It is such a rich, gorgeous colour and goes on really smoothly. I was also surprised at how shiny it was! Can't wait to wear it over the holidays.
PS. Sorry for the quality of the photos - I took them really quickly in between studying.
I had the opportunity to attend the Women's Post charity fashion show benefiting the Women of Baycrest, an organization devoted to research and innovation in women's brain health. The photos above are from the portion of the fashion show put on by the Paper Bag Princess, a great vintage store in LA. Vintage looks include YSL, Chanel and much more, with jewelery by Carole Tanenbaum. It was a fabulous night full of drinks, delicious food from local restaurants, and of course, amazing fashion!
I really need a new coat. Something I can throw on as I'm running out the door to class, or to get coffee with a friend, or to the movies. Something casual but chic. The search is on.
Just a quick post! So, last Friday I went back to Waterloo to attend my university convocation. Although it was boring and seemingly took forever, not to mention it took place in a hockey arena and was freezing, I'm really glad I decided to go. After all, most of us only graduate from university once right? Also, I took some shots of the trees outside my window in Toronto and thought I'd share. Fall is officially upon us!
The video and lookbook for the Lanvin for H&M collection were released today and I have to say, I am speechless. I want almost everything from the collection, as well as a few pieces from the menswear! The top dress is the PERFECT dress for New Years, and the one below it is timeless and classic Lanvin. Not to the mention the shoes, the sunglasses and that showstopper red necklace. The clock is ticking my friends, yet November 20th cannot seem to come fast enough! Are any of you going to line up?!
Here is the accompanying video where you can see the full collection. You really should watch it from start to finish - it's amazing.
I had a fabulous time at TVFU this year. The speakers and seminars were even better than last year, something I didn't think was possible. Hearing Anna Wintour give the opening remarks was incredible. She spoke about her life and her upbringing and how she made it to where she is today. For someone who is referred to as the "ice queen" or the "devil," she could not have been more humble and appreciative for all of the things she has, not to mention she was really funny! There are no words to describe it. Thanks Teen Vogue for another fabulous weekend!
Note: I'm not sure why my photos are such bad quality. Trying to figure that out!
This photo thoroughly stresses me out. It's the first look at the Lanvin for H&M collaboration. Why does it stress me out you ask? Because I'm already planning how many days ahead I need to line up, how many people I'm going to rob/borrow money from and how much of an increase I should ask for on my credit card limit, simply so I can get my hands on EVERY. SINGLE. PIECE. See why I'm stressing?
I came across this video of an interview with one of my favourites, Anna Dello Russo.
She is so inspiring, and so passionate about what she does, not to mention she shares my love for shoes.
I spent much of the weekend studying and preparing for my midterms this week. I'm also battling a pretty terrible cough and cold that just doesn't seem to want to go away. I'm hoping it clears up because I leave for NYC at the end of the week! Once my exams are finished I can focus on packing and running around to pick up some last minute necessities. Hope you all have a lovely week and enjoy the video!
So as I mentioned a few posts ago, Teen Vogue Fashion U is fast approaching. So too, is Toronto Fashion Week. What does this mean? Lots of outfits to prepare. Here are some photos that I've been drawing inspiration from lately in hopes of coming up with some new and unique outfits for the upcoming events.
What I'm loving: leopard, military, knits, red, feathers, layering and of course, camel.
(fashiongonerogue, jakandjil, chicheroin)
I probably won't be posting until after I get back from New York, but stay tuned because I promise to post a LOT of exciting stuff when I return!
