How I've been spending my evenings this week: a good film, a new hue and a hot cup of tea.
Hola! I have returned from vacay in Dominican, although not feeling as relaxed and happy as I had hoped. I've been busy busy since I've been back, but thought it important to give you all a quick update before I fall off the face of the earth. Dominican started off lovely - we had amazing weather and partook in lots of excursions. However, the weather turned slightly overcast as the week wore on and several incidents occured. Namely, I became deathly ill and was confined to my bed for almost three days, and my beloved Nikon broke into 5 heartbreaking pieces. I brought two cameras with me, so I was able to document the rest of the trip, but I was slightly unmotivated to take pictures after the incident. Needless to say, I had a good time and daddy is working hard to mend my broken heart camera.
More to come, loves. I need to continue catching up on my life (which at this point consists of a cup of tea and a good movie).

My countdown is officially over - I'm off to the Dominican, my loves. Everything is packed and ready to go by the door, and the car is arriving at noon sharp. Now all I have to worry about is the weigh-in of my over-stuffed suitcase at the airport.
Back in a week, a little more relaxed and a lot more bronzed a la Miss Moss here.
One of the greats. An inspiration to us all. Truly a tragic loss.
RIP Mr. McQueen.
The countdown is on, my loves! In just mere days (aka 5) I will be sprawled out on a lounger beside the beach a la Miss Chloe Sevigney here, albeit a fruity drink in hand instead of a cell. Is it just me or is that cut-off-at-the-sleeves denim vest she's wearing just amazzzing? Good thing I picked one up the other day.

Day 5 of Spring Trendspotting and of course, I had to end the week with a classic: the trench. You can never go wrong with a classic camel or tan coloured trench coat. I recently got one from Zara but I've decided I don't like the way it fits. Any suggestions on where I can find one would be much appreciated.
Sorry for the short post - I'm blogging from class and should probably get back to it. Hope everyone has a great weekend!
I'm not usually a huge fan of Coach, mainly because everyone in my city owns the same typical letter C clutch/wallet/wristlet/side satchel/you name it, and it can get a little tired, not to mention overpriced. However, I recently came across the most perfect bag and I just had to post it.
This is the kind of bag you'll keep forever and it will look even better after its been worn in and roughed up a bit. It's not the most amazing bag in the world, but it has a certain charm that immediately caught my attention. I like all three colours but I think I would go for the classic tan. If I ever have an extra $298 in my pocket, this baby is mine. If I ever have an extra $894 kicking around, I'm going home with all three!

Quite possibly my favourite of all the spring trends, Day 4 looks at the amazing printed garments these genuises they call designers have been coming up with. I had a hard time not making this post entirely about DVF and Proenza, but I forced myself to include some others. If I could get my hands on only one trend for spring, it would definitely be anything printed from the DVF or Proenza Schouler shows. Honestly, it's just insane.
FYI: whowhatwear just did a great DIY post on how to create your own Proenza masterpiece. I might just have to try it out!
Following in the footsteps of my last post on leather for spring, I've been looking for a pair of leather shorts. This pair from Zara's new collection are perfect although Canada seems to have a hard time stocking its Zara's with the good stuff. Either that or we get it 4 months too late. I also saw a pair at H&M in their trend section, the only difference being they are a delicious shade of cream. Perhaps I'll have to pick up both!

Ever since Angelina wore that leather gown, followed by that hot leather mini on the red carpet, I can't get enough of leather. Day 3 of my Spring Trendspotting coverage and my wishlist is getting bigger and bigger. Why do I do this to myself?
I love the look of coral for Spring. I just picked up this coral-ish lipstick by Rimmel London that I plan to rock while on vacay in a few weeks. It's not exactly the same as Abby Lee Kershaw's on the cover of Vogue Australia but it'll have to do!

Day 2 of my (terribly put together) Spring Trendspotting. I've always had a thing for pastels and I find they look good on almost anyone. I also love everything Burberry is doing right now and I would love to get my hands on those shoes, those socks, and that gorgeous draped skirt. First person who gets me any of the items listed can be my BFF forever and ever. GO!
So it is a less than lovely Monday afternoon, marking the first day of February. To apologize for being neglectful of my blog lately, I've taken to paint (I know, I need photoshop) to put together some of my favourite looks from the spring shows. Proving my last post about denim on denim is not totally insane, here is my first spring trend: denim!
Enjoy my loves.
For some reason I'm kind of obsessed with this picture. When did denim on denim become less trailer trash and more, well... hot? I guess S/S 2010 is embracing its inner hick.
Think I can convince the boyfriend to rock this? Yeah, me neither.
