Floral Fairytale

Such a pretty editorial. The setting, the light, the clothes, everything just works together. Not to mention, those lace-up wedges and the floral headpiece are kind of to die for. This, to me, seems like the perfect summer day.

Cruel Summer

Hi loves. Sorry for the hiatus (again!). I spent the long weekend laying on the beach, soaking up the rays and have happily returned home with a tan! Now that I'm back in the city though? Not so happy. The heat is unbearable. The air conditioning is cranked and I have a glass of iced-anything clutched permanently in my hand. I know I shouldn't complain about this nice weather but COME ON! Luckily, much like miss Behati Prinsloo here, I've been spending as much time as possible lounging by the pool. Working on my tan and staying cool? It's a win/win.

Aren't these photos amazing? Taken from Vogue Nippon's June 2007 issue.

The Belles of the (Met) Ball

I'm a little late with this, but I am sad to say that the ladies of the 2010 Costume Institute Gala were quite underwhelming to say the least. I know that the new thing is minimalism when it comes to dressing for this kind of event, but for some of the girls it seemed that to them, minimalism just meant laziness. However, I am happy to admit that I thought there were a few that hit it out of the park.

From Left: Zoe Saldana in Calvin Klein, Alexa Chung in 3.1 Phillip Lim, Anne Hathaway in Valentino, Kerry Washington in Thakoon for Gap.

I think Alexa Chung looked amazing. The perfect look for the Met Ball. Zoe Saldana has been photographed all over town lately, and each time looks better than the last. Anne Hathaway, although she played it a little bit safe, looks perfect as always. Finally, Kerry Washington, who hasn't necessarily stood out to me in the past, looked great in her Thakoon design and managed not to blend in to the red carpet which can sometimes be a problem with like-coloured gowns.

Honourable mentions go to Tina Fey in YSL, Diane Kruger in Calvin Klein, Camilla Belle in Jason Wu and Sienna Miller in Pucci.

And to all the rest of you - better luck next year!

I think my feet would be happy if I brought them these home to play with.

So, we all know how much I love Daria and her latest editorial in the May issue of Vogue is amazing. The outfits are perfectly styled, as per usual, but what really caught my eye is Daria's new bangs! I need that hairstyle in my life but I'm way too chicken to actually take the plunge and get some of that fringe. Speaking of bangs, I've been having some major hair-envy as of late. Here are two pictures of hair that I WANT and NEED!

Oh and by the way, I'm officially done school and exams and am in full-on summer mode!
