We Left Our Love in Our Summer Skin

One of the most amazing editorials I've seen in a long time. Words can't even describe. I want everything.

all a girl needs is flowers and balloons

I love this video! I just found it on fashionsquad's blog and can't get enough of the clothes. I need that shearling vest, the floral dress, and those shades!

All Black Everything

I know, I know. I'm sorry. Don't be mad.

I realize I've been MIA these past couple of weeks but with school, work, friends, interviews, and family stuff I literally have had no time to myself. The good news is, I'm getting ready for a trip to the Dominican and therefore have an excuse to immerse myself in all of the S/S trends which in more simple terms means, shop. I'm heading to Toronto tomorrow to, hopefully, stock up on all of my beach essentials.

In other news: I think it's safe to say that you can never own too many pairs of black heels. I do love my black shoes and I often find family and friends asking me if I really need another pair of black heels. The answer? Yes. I do. I really, really do. These are a few of the pairs I've been rotating as of late.

Masqued

I've always wanted to go to a masquerade, ever since Drew Barrymore in Ever After and Claire Danes in Romeo and Juliet. (And then, of course, S and B in GG)

I usually like to have over-the-top, themed parties for my birthday, however my birthday is in July, and somehow I think the romantic and mysterious feel of a masquerade might get lost in all of the sunshine and brightness of summer. For now, I'll have to settle for looking at these:

Dreaming of the Sky

(fashiongonerogue)

Fashion photography set in motion. A stunning video by Greg Kadel. I love that you can actually see the clothes in real life, moving as the model does. It's a nice change from regular print editorials.

STYLE PROFILE: Rose Byrne

Photobucket

As of yet, Rose Byrne is not a household name but the girl is making her way up the Hollywood ladder. There is no denying that she has great style, not to mention her all-natural beauty. If anyone saw and loved the 2004 film Wicker Park you'll know what I'm talking about. She's been photographed all over town as of late and I've chosen a few of my favourite looks. Can't wait to see what she does next.

Winter Inspiration: Velvet

Photobucket

Unfortunately, it's still freezing here so I haven't been able to start playing around with S/S looks. Instead, I'm still loving and lusting over the F/W collections.

Velvet has gotten a bad rap in the past, but the fashion world has recently seen the material go from frumpy to fabulous. I love the luxe look of velvet, whether it be a pair of black harem pants, a strong-shouldered top, or a simple, structured frock. Seeing as my pockets are quite shallow, I'll likely be settling for Aritzia's take on the trend - leaving behind Prada and Bottega Veneta's for some other lucky girl.

Rendezvous

YSL's S/S 2010 short film is amazing. Pure Parisian romance. I've watched it over and over and over.

Anyone down for a rendezvous in Paris?

Killer

These new ad campaigns are killing me. First Lanvin, now Givenchy and Mulberry.

MUST. HAVE.
